East Midlands Train - Bedford update

Unfortunately, despite cross-party pressure from local MPs, East Midlands Trains are not able to temporarily reinstate Bedford stops during their peak time services.

Ongoing rail disruption

The situation with GTR services serving my constituents in NE Beds via Bedford, Arlesey, Sandy and Biggleswade remains wholly unacceptable. I have many constituents sending us live information and records of their weeks – it is un untenable situation.

ORR launches Independent Inquiry into May timetable disruption

The Office for Rail Regulation have now formally launched their Independent Inquiry into the recent and widespread timetable disruption suffered on the railway and published the Inquiry Terms of Reference. The inquiry is being led by ORR’s Chair, Professor Stephen Glaister.
