I have received the following message from Network Rail, regarding the engineering work taking place this weekend:
"On Saturday and Sunday we are advising customers not to travel. There will be no services to or from King’s Cross station, with southbound services terminating at Peterborough, and significant disruption across the rest of the route. On Monday there will be a significantly reduced timetable and we strongly recommend anybody travelling on Monday to check before travelling and to make a reservation.
This work is an unavoidable part of delivering the £1.2bn East Coast Upgrade, which will create considerable benefits across the route, including quicker journey times, and more trains for your constituents."
Further details can be found in the attached letter.
