Meeting with Govia Thameslink and Rail User Groups

On Saturday morning I attended a meeting with Govia Thameslink and local Rail User Groups. I am very grateful to those that attended to represent our local stations and their users, and particularly to Arlesey Rail User Group for preparing the attached minutes.

It was clear from the meeting that formal rail user groups would be beneficial and I know these are currently being formed for Biggleswade and Arlesey. If you would like to be involved and would like me to pass your details on, please do email the office on alistair.burt.mp@parliament.uk. We have not had any volunteers to take on this role for Sandy - if you are interested in doing so then please do let me know and we will help you begin this process and put you in touch with the other groups. Bedford has a rail user group already, and you can find details on their website: http://www.bedfordcommuters.org.uk/.

Further disruptions are expected this week while we await the implementation of the interim timetable on the 15th July. Please do read the minutes, as they will answer many questions.
