This week's Brexit

Parliament returned this week and provided a couple of reminders that the Conservative Government does not have a majority, and the complications of that are likely to accelerate over the next few weeks.

Brexit Update

Constituents will be aware that the debate on the Withdrawal Agreement takes place this week and I am grateful for the continuing correspondence I am receiving.  Whilst it is not possible to respond to all emails and letters individually, please be assured that I am reading all incoming mail.

The Prime Minister has attended the European Council and engaged in further discussions with the EU in relation to the Withdrawal Agreement. We are anticipating a further Statement from Mrs May on Monday and I will write again after that.

Confidence Vote

In tonight’s confidence vote on PM Theresa May, I shall be voting for the Prime Minister.
