Train Services

My constituents are served by stations at Biggleswade, Sandy, Arlesey and Bedford, with services provided by Thameslink and East Midlands Trains.

I have been engaged on a number of issues in relation to train services recently, and you will find updates on this page.

The ongoing disruption to train services following the introduction of the Railplan2020 timetable is frankly a disgrace. The new timetables have been envisaged for months, and local MPs see no reason for the current excuses covering so many trains. The odd hiccup in a new timetable is understandable; wholescale cancellations and being unable to say whether trains will run or not is simply not acceptable.

All local MPs are in contact with the rail companies and the Department for Transport. I will continue to update you with further information, on my website and Facebook page, as it becomes available.
