Every year we have many school trips coming to visit Parliament and meet their MP, Alistair Burt.  It is a very exciting day for children, and can be combined with many other attractions and historical sites in the Westminster area.

Tour details

Details can be viewed on the Visits and Tours page of this website, and special arrangements can be made to accommodate large school groups.  Booking well in advance - up to six months - is a priority for large school groups.

Before you come

The Education pages of the Parliament website are a good source of information for teachers and can be found at http://www.parliament.uk/education.  Interactive information for pupils, as well as resources and further study material for teachers are available, and a good way to prepare for a visit to Parliament.

 Sixth Forms

Alistair is very happy to meet informally with smaller groups of sixth formers studying politics or related subjects, for a Q & A discussion session, which can either be arranged in conjunction with a trip to Westminster, or at school.

Meeting Alistair

Alistair makes every effort to meet for at least 30 minutes with every group that comes to Parliament, providing Parliamentary business and Foreign Office travel allow.  He is also happy to make arrangements to come to school on a day either before or after the trip to discuss what he does, and how Parliament works.

What do I do now?

Do contact the Westminster office to discuss your plans
