As MP for North East Bedfordshire my main job is to represent the constituents of the area, and I hope you will find this website helpful in seeing what I do both in Parliament and in the constituency. You can also find contact details for my team, and details of advice centre appointment booking.
If this is your first visit, you can find more information about me on the 'About Alistair' page.
Keep an eye on the gallery and Press Releases and you can keep up to date with my recent visits and some of the things happening in and around NE Bedfordshire.
Current Weather and Flooding
I am keeping in close touch the Environment Agency and local authorities to ensure constituents are kept informed. Head to my Facebook page here for regular updates.
Useful contacts: Floodline has information on 0845 988 1188 or 0345 988 1188, the EA website www.environment-agency.gov.uk or Twitter @EnvAgencyAnglia
If you feel the inside of your property (not garden/garage, but living space) is at risk of water ingress, call the Fire & Rescue Service on 01234 351081. They have a range of methods they can use to help protect households and will be able to offer you advice and assistance.
Please head over to my campaign page to read my views on the topics I am currently being contacted about most. I am always grateful that constituents take the time to email me regarding these campaigns and rather than write back individually I have decided to direct people to this page to read my reply. This allows me to post updates on fast moving topics; as well as saving resources. If you have any further concerns after reading my response please do feel free to contact me again with further questions.
Alistair's Survey - How We Work
I appreciate the contribution of small firms right across my area; it is these businesses driving forward economic growth through innovation and sheer hard work. Good connectivity and broadband are vital for the work a lot of constituents are doing.
If you are working flexibly and remotely at the moment please take five minutes to head to this months survey here on ‘How we work’ – the information you provide will be invaluable in continuing to get the best services for our area to keep the economy moving.
